A dvd distributor or film distributor is an individual or an independent company that acts as the final agent between a film production company and a film exhibitor. A distributor in the film business is the agency that deals in marketing and circulation of movies in theaters.

A dvd distributors in the dvd business is the person or agency that markets and circulates dvds, dvd movies, new release dvds etc. A dvd distributor is a wholesaler, an individual or agency buying dvds in bulk quantities from the producers at a price close to the cost of manufacturing them and resells them at a higher price to other dealers, or to retailers, but not directly to the general public.

The major task of the dvd distributors is to convince the retailers that they offering the best dvds in the cheapest possible prices. Thus the dvd distributors offer DVDs at wholesale. They sell the dvds at wholesale prices. The dvd business is flourishing online as well as offline. Thus there’s a great competition among the dvd distributors. They offer luring prices to retailers to attract them. The retailers prefer going into deals with the distributors that offer the cheapest possible prices.

But, the dvd distributors should not forget to maintain the standard of the quality of their dvds in the race to edge out the competitors. The retailers always go for the best possible quality in the cheapest possible prices. The poor quality may spoil the name of a distributor and a distributor may lose the confidence of the retailers. In business losing the confidence means losing business. Thus the distributors may use any business trick but shouldn't compromise with quality. Don’t forget, quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten.
