How to Make the Most of Holiday Seasons

Hello Friend,
When you think about it, there's a holiday during almost every month of the year. In January you have New Year's, in February we celebrate Valentine's Day, March brings forth St. Patrick's Day, April introduces Easter, May is home to Mother's Day, June is the month for Father's Day, July 4th celebrates independence - the list goes on. Regardless of which month of the calendar we are on, there is a reason to celebrate. Why don't we take advantage of that fact and put it to work for our DVD sales?
Everyone loves a reason to celebrate with family and friends and if you can give them a reason to gather round the television set and watch a holiday DVD together, they will - regardless of what holiday it is. This can really work to your advantage if you know how to time your holiday sales and which DVDs to market at what time of year.
Each year you're going to start with Valentine's Day DVDs. Wondering why you're not starting with New Year's DVDs? That's because you'll be marketing those in December, not January. In January, it's time to start marketing romantic movies and traditional Valentine's Day flicks. Create a cute auction template with cherubs and hearts. You'll see January sales soar.
In February, start marketing your St. Patrick's Day DVDs. The Irish celebrate this holiday, so a couple of great Irish titles are sure to be a hit. Of course, your template should have some leprechauns and shamrocks incorporated into it. Then in March, begin marketing Easter DVDs. Veggie Tales DVDs, The Passion of the Christ and Little Angel's Easter are usually popular Easter titles.
Mother's Day is in April, and while there aren't really that many DVDs created specifically for Mother's Day, you can use your imagination and market a few titles like Monster in Law, Not Without My Daughter, Terms Of Endearment and Freaky Friday. These are all great movies to watch with mom. Then in May, do the same thing for Father's Day with titles like Father Of The Bride and Cheaper By The Dozen.
Each and every month, promote DVDs for the upcoming holiday. In June, promote Fourth of July movies, in September, promote scary DVDs for Halloween, in October promote Halloween and Thanksgiving DVDs and in November promote Christmas DVDs for the kids. Then when December comes, start promoting New Year's movies and get ready to start the year-long process all over again!
