Hi Friend,

You must have spent time asking, "When is the best time to list", and "How long should I run my auctions for"?

We can answer both of these questions by determining when is the best time to have your auctions end. The highest traffic times on eBay is Saturday between 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. eastern. If you will time your auctions to end during this time, you'll increase your chances of closing your item with a bid.

The best way to do this is to start your auctions on Saturday between this time with a 7 day duration. The following week, they'll be timed to end while eBay is experiencing the most traffic.

Even though most of my items start on Saturday, I still run a handful of items on weekdays. All of my items run with a 7 day duration. This makes it easy to time what day of the week they will close.

I start my weekday items between 6 pm - 10pm eastern. You don't want items closing during the middle of the day when most people are at work. If you'll close your weekday items during these times, you'll maximize your chances of getting a bid.

You can experiment to come up with a listing plan that works best for you. Here is a sample listing plan I use to schedule my listings.

Monday - 10% of my weekly auctions, run between 6 pm - 10pm eastern time
Tuesday - 10% of my weekly auctions, run between 6 pm - 10pm eastern time
Wednesday - 10% of my weekly auctions, run between 6 pm - 10pm eastern time
Thursday - 10% of my weekly auctions, run between 6 pm - 10pm eastern time
Friday - 10% of my weekly auctions, run between 6 pm - 10pm eastern time
Saturday - 50% of my weekly auctions, run between 1 pm - 5 pm eastern time
Sunday - relist any auctions that haven't closed during the week
