Hello Friend,
There is an adage that says it takes money to make money. In some aspects this is true. If you want your DVD business to grow, thrive and flourish, you are going to need to reinvest some of the profits generated by your business back into the business's operating budget. If you don't reinvest a portion of the business's DVD profits, the business will grow stagnate and could eventually die.
When I say you need to reinvest a portion of your DVD business profits, I do not mean just taking just enough of the profits to cover overhead expenses. I am talking about reinvesting enough of the profits to make substantial business improvements. For example, if you are currently only selling DVDs on the eBay website, you should start taking some of the profits from those eBay sales and put them towards building an ecommerce website for you to sell your DVDs from.
Once your ecommerce website is built, you can start taking some of the profits from eBay DVD sales and putting them towards advertising and marketing your personal DVD website. Once your DVD website is generating revenue, you'll have profits coming in from both eBay and your DVD website. This will not only provide you with more income, but it will also give you more money to reinvest - allowing you to further develop your DVD business.
Once your DVD business starts experiencing substantial profits and growth, you will probably want to upgrade your website and invest in more advanced methods of marketing. The more money your DVD business generates, the more money you should be reinvesting. While a basic ecommerce website is fine for handling a few hundred customers, once you start serving thousands of customers your website needs are going to change. Your marketing needs will change too. Placing ads in entertainment magazines and sponsoring special events are creative and effective ways to market a profitable DVD website.
The people who are most successful in the world are the people who think big. Right now you are selling DVDs on eBay. Who's to say that five or ten years from now you won't be the next DVD online shopping mega store? If you do your research, manage your DVD business properly and reinvest like you should, your DVD business can be taken to the next level time and time again.
