Myth #2 Make Big Money from a Few Sales Each Week
Dear Friend,
There are a few websites that want you to believe you can make big
money from selling a few DVDs a week. An owner of one of these
websites goes on to claim he made more than $700 in one week selling
50 movies.
While it is ABSOLUTELY POSSIBLE to make $700 or more a week selling
CDs and/or DVDs, it isn't possible to do it only selling 50 DVDs.
This ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE. This guy would have to be making $15
from every DVD he sold. Don't be pulled in by this lie.
The CD and DVD business is a volume business. You should only expect
to profit $2 - $3 per CD or DVD. The big money will come by moving a
large volume of these products, not by selling a handful.
My advise to new sellers is to set goals and determine how much you
want to make. If you goal is to make $250 per week, you need to sell
an average of 100 DVDs a week. This is very attainable.
If you goal is to make $1,000 dollars week, you need to sell an average
of 400 DVDs a week. This is also attainable, but you'll need to
automate as much of your business as possible.
Once you start selling more than a few hundred DVDs a week, the amount
of time spent listing, sending emails, creating invoices, packing,
shipping, and etc will begin to consume a lot of your time.
I put together a system to automate 90% of these tasks. I put this system
into place last year, and it has saved me more than 30 hours a week. I
can do with a few clicks of a mouse what once took me many hours to do.
This system cost me about $2,000 to put together, so it isn't for the
guy or gal selling 50 DVDs a week. But if your are interested in growing
your business to a high volume, you'll need a system like this once your
sales reach more than 300 - 400 items a week.
When you purchase the Jillian Entertainment CD & DVD Directory you'll
be given 30 Days of Free Email Support. Helping you build an automated
system is just one of the many tasks you can use your email support to get
help with.
Sincerely,
